About me

Hi, I’m Loliwe Phiri, a professional photographer based in Lusaka, Zambia. I have lived in Lusaka and Copperbelt, Zambia and in Johannesburg and Pretoria, South Africa. Besides holding a double major Degree in Development Studies and Library and Information Science from the University of Zambia,  I have over 8 years of experience in the photography industry. I specialize in capturing powerful images that tell the stories of Humanitarian efforts, Events and Corporate in Africa and Zambia. My passion lies in highlighting the work of International NGOs and local organizations making a positive impact in the world.

I have traveled to some of the most remote and challenging locations to document the resilience of communities and the impact of Aid. I strive to create visually evocative images that not only inform but inspire action. I understand the importance of storytelling for nonprofits and organizations working for a better world, that's why I work closely with my  clients to understand their assignment so that when I go out and work in the field, I create a visual narrative that aligns with that.

I am passionate about photo story-telling. I am part of a global photo collective called the journal of several hundred women and non binary photographers who have come together to create a profound avenue for connection, networking, creativity and support.

Whether you're looking to capture the spirit of an event, the joy of a wedding, the beauty of a location, or the impact of a project, Loliwe Photography has the skills and expertise to create powerful and meaningful images.
